My first week of high school

Ello guys :)

So, I didn’t have the time to tell you guys about my day on the first day of school, hence I'm doing it now.

Monday:

§ Went to the gym first to hear the principal telling us (year 8s and the rest of the student body)
§ We got put into 6…(?) separate groups, and I was put in Jacaranda 2 along with 3 other people who went to Wilson primary (… did I mention that they’re all boys?).
§ Went to our form room (homeroom) and missed period one which is English.
§ Did not receive a school diary due to us, missing English on period one (but I managed to find my way around… incredible or what?).
§ After lunch, went to ‘Food Awareness’ (which is a cooking class) and had no companion except for Izzy.
§ The class was boring because majority, it’s filled with boys… 13-14 boys and 9 girls (I counted it).
§ On last period, had woodwork along with my other friends, Shahista, Linda, Acaila and Aman (finally! Someone that I know!).
§ On my way home, took the wrong bus with one of my friends and got lost… (sad, I know. Thank god I got lost with my friend, though :))
§ My friend asked a girl that went to Como where was this bus going (her mum said Vic park… we were like :O)
§ Found our way back to Curtin (finally!!) after we had to walk for about 20 minutes.

Tuesday:

§ Arrived at school and saw one of the year 9s that went to Wilson primary (she showed me where my class was).
§ Roaming around the school, since I don’t know where to go (because the siren for the start of school hasn’t gone yet). Finally found the rest of Wilson primary tribe in the year 8 quad.

§ While walking to first period, the girl that was on the bus previously greeted me(found out that she’s in my form room too!) her name is Lily.
§ During recess, I finally noticed that I will have most of my classes with the people that are in my form room (yippee! Hint the sarcasm -.-‘).
§ Saw someone I haven’t seen in two years (to be honest, I was shocked, and the person looked shocked too!)
§ Had cooking class (again *groans*)
§ Went home by bus (and arrived safely, not to mention! :))

Wednesday:

§ Had ‘Design and Technology’ (woodwork, metalwork or photography class) first thin in the morning (I was extremely happy about that!)
§ For some reason I had to take ‘EAL’ (English as Additional Language)… with one of my friend and Lily.
§ Had science afterward with Mr Thomas (and to be frank, he’s my favourite teachers… so far).
§ Went home.

Thursday:

§ For the first time I go to school with my sister as a companion.
§ Had French with Shahista (I love my French teacher, he’s so funny :’)) first thing in the morning.
§ I introduced myself to this guy that someone thought was cute as ‘Nisa’ because he couldn’t remember the word ‘HANISAH’.
§ Had Phys. Ed on fourth period… (I was totally freaking out about the Beep test, only to find out that we’ll be doing it on Friday -.-)
§ Went home…

Friday:

§ For some reason, I didn’t have the guts to go to school by bus (I was scared… I still don’t know why).
§ Had EAL and did some activity and I found out that Lily does not have a younger sister and she CAN wake up without an alarm clock (have I mentioned that me and Lily instantly become like best buddies?) and she started calling me ‘Nisa’, instead of Hanisah.
§ Finally found myself a locker :)
§ Had the Beep test and my score was pretty bad (who said that I have stamina? I don’t do long distance run).
§ Went home safely.

So that’s how my first week of school went and to be frank, halfway through the week, I was already exhausted. Who knew high school would be so tiring eh?

THINGS I DID NOT EXPECT IN HIGH SCHOOL:

§ I thought that we don’t have to carry our bags everywhere.
§ I thought that the year 11s and 12s would be heck high… (only some of them are)
§ I thought that I'll be able to have most of my classes with my friends.
§ I never thought that I’d see/meet this certain person ever again.
§ I thought that high school was terrifying.
